Genius Congressman wants 50 cent tax on every gallon of gas

A report came out yesterday about Rep. John Dingell D (umbass)-Michigan wanting to put an extra 50 cent tax on every gallon of gasoline in an effort to “curb consumption”. In my area, gas is currently $3.35 per gallon, and this clown really wants to turn that into $3.85 per gallon? How does he expect people to be able to get to work?

Lets look at this for what it really is: A shift of responsibility. Instead of pushing for laws that actually help the American people like requiring better gas mileage in cars, or promoting alternative means of powering vehicles, Dingell would rather penalize the average citizen by taking even more of their money.

Evidently Dingell is more worried about getting re-elected by those automotive industry constituents in his home state of Michigan, than he is about improving the lives of we the people. This is yet another fine example of the stupidity that comes out of D.C.

  1. They’ll get away with it. The government always does. Why? Because most people are stupid and don’t want to know what the government is up to-they want to work, come home-watch TV and go to sleep. They turn a blind eye and consider themselves patriotic.
